Hey friends! I am Dr. Mallory Dawson, and I’ve been an orthodontist at Cumberland Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics for 3 years! I’m currently practicing in both our Cookeville and White House, TN locations.
I attended the Medical College of Georgia for dental school and then did orthodontic residency at Seton Hill University. As an orthodontist, I specialize in moving teeth, aligning jaws, and creating smiles that look beautiful and, more importantly, function properly.
I grew up in a small town called Perry, Georgia of about 20,000 people. While there, I spent a lot of time swimming at the pool, playing tennis with my sister, and practicing piano.
I had braces from 8th grade to 10th grade. Even 18 years later, I remember the gooey impressions, constantly asking my orthodontist about my treatment, and how slimy my teeth felt when my braces finally came off. My orthodontist and family dentist have both helped me with my career and continue to be mentors today.
