In response to the recent COVID-19 outbreak, we thought it would be beneficial and educational to teach our CPDO patients and family members how to properly wash your hands.
The CDC has provided a guide for the scientifically recommended way to wash your hands. However, we’ve also provided a fun and easy step-by-step list of instructions below!
Little Grayson is five and caught on pretty quickly. This is a great time to teach your little ones how important it is to wash your hands before a meal, after using the bathroom, and more.
Step 1:
Turn on water and wet hands.
Step 3:
Wash the back and palms of your hands.
Step 4:
Don’t forget to scrub your thumbs.
Step 5:
Wash in between your fingers.
Step 6:
Scrub your knuckles really well.
Step 7:
Don’t forget to wash your finger tips and under your finger nails!
Step 8:
Make sure you wash your hands for 20 seconds and then rinse.
Step 10:
Use your paper towel to turn off the water and open the door!
Need some more help? The CDC has provided printable posters that you can show the family with fun graphics. You can find and print those out here.
